day 2 in NY

well after a good night rest we woke up and met up downstairs at, you won´t believe it 9.30...normally I wouldn't get out my bed before 11 but hey we've got a tight schedule!!
first we decided to go to Times square, but soon enough we found out that traveling with such a large group was next to impossible. So we decided to split up and meet up again at a certain time.
I went with Timon and Patrick and we had a nice breakfast in a cool looking brasserie. Afterwards we made a few group pics and decided to go to the Rockefeller center to get a nice view of the New York skyline.

This didn't really work out because it cost a lot and we didn't feel like coughing up that amount of money so we split up again in smaller groups. Timon, Patrick and I went through a part of Central Park and went to have a peek at Grand Central Station. Real nice to stand there in the arrival hall and see the grandness.

next Patrick and Timon wanted to go back to Times Square, but I was really tired and my feet we're sore so I decided to head back alone.
probably not the best idea because I ended up at a station which was quite far away from our hostel so I had to walk a long distance through a real ghetto feeling neighborhood.
nothing happened and I ended up safely at the hostel but it was not a place to go out by yourself when dark.

When we were all together again and everyone was freshened up we left again to find a Italian restaurant where they had great pizzas for some food and beer ^^.
By the time e left it was already quite late, but we decided to go to a real neat grocery store with all sorts of fresh food.
Also bought some maple syrup for my mom 'cuz I now how she loves that!

We got home with our hands full of groceries and decided to call it a day. Tomorrow we're going to Ellis Island and liberty Island by ferry and lots more!
