Day 6.Departure from NY and meeting the hostfamily

Well today is the last day in NY! We got up really early and then went for breakfast at our hostel. After a quick breakfast I took a quick shower and packed up the last of my stuff and then we were off to the subway station.
We took a straight shot towards JFK with the subway which took about an hour.
Security wasn't as tight as before, mostly because it was an international flight, so after we went through customs we still had time to kill.
We didn't have arranged seats so it was a nice surprise when we had to board and timon and me were placed in the middle of the plane with loads of legspace in front of us.
Then our 3 passenger came which was a little 6 year old girl called lizz (elizabeth). The stewardess asked us to keep an eye on here since she was traveling alone.
This turned out to be quite the task, mainly because she had the energy of 3 nuclear energy reactors.
It was a sweet girl, don't get me wrong...but i was glad Timon was the one sitting directly beside her.
I was lucky that I could get a bit of shut eye, but Timon didn't have my luck :p
After 5 hours of flight, Timon was getting tired as well and a bit cranky, but we managed to get through all the games with lizz. Looking back we did have fun with her and she was really sad to see us go.
At the airport in seattle we had to wait for 2 hours for our shuttle to bellingham, and we had another hour or so in the bus.
When we arrived at bellingham airport our host families were waiting for us and we left with them to their homes. i have a really nice host family and I think we'll get along just fine!
When we arrived at their place I met their son and his girlfriend and we just talked and had a beer. Then they showed me to my room and I could finally get some rest after a long day!

Probably low due to her quteness.
Good to hear you have a nice mam and dad over there.
